Gyrus AI — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 30, 2025

Gyrus AI (“Gyrus”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides AI-powered video and media technology services (including semantic media search, virtual product placement, video anonymization, vision analytics) (the “Services”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and disclose your personal information when you access or use our Services (including our website, APIs, software tools, and offline interactions) (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Scope and Updates to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information we process when you use our Services — whether via our website, cloud platform, API integrations, demo videos, data-collection pipelines, or offline interactions.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time in our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will notify you as required by applicable law (for example, via email or by posting a prominent notice within our Services). If you continue using the Services after the amended policy takes effect, you consent to the revised policy.

Important Note on Customer Data. Some data we process is provided to us by our clients (brands, broadcasters, data-providers) and is subject to separate contracts (e.g., data processing agreements). Unless otherwise stated, this Privacy Policy does not apply to the personal information our clients collect and provide to us for the client’s use of the Services (“Customer Data”). The applicable client’s privacy policy governs their collection and use of that data.

2. Personal Information We Collect

The categories of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with our Services, your role (e.g., user, client, job applicant), and the applicable law. We collect:

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account registration: name, email address, phone number, company information, username/password, job title, billing/contact address.
  • Service usage: metadata, contact details, and preferences you supply when you use Services (e.g., upload video, request demo).
  • Payment / billing: billing information and invoicing address. We do not directly store full payment card details; those are handled by third-party payment processors.
  • Communications: support requests, sales inquiries, job applications (resume, cover letter), and other messages you send us.
  • Surveys / events: information you submit when participating in surveys, contests, trade shows or webinars.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, MAC address or equivalent, mobile carrier, unique identifiers.
  • Usage data: pages you access, links clicked, features used, timestamps, duration of use, logs of your interaction with our Services.
  • Location information: approximate location derived from IP address or mobile device, if applicable and authorized.
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies.

2.3 Information from Other Sources

  • Third-party social media platforms or login providers if you use them to log in.
  • Publicly available sources, business directories, social media, and third-party data providers to supplement our records.

3.3 Marketing and Advertising

With your consent (where required), we may send marketing communications (newsletters, product announcements) and deliver interest-based or personalised promotional content on our Services or via third-party platforms.

3.4 With Your Consent / Other Purposes

If you grant consent for specific uses (e.g., participation in research or training our AI models), we may use your personal information for those purposes as disclosed at the point of collection.

3.5 Automated Decision-Making, Profiling & Model Training

We may use automated processing (profiling) or AI-model training to optimise Services (improving video search relevance, ad-placements, anonymisation). We do not base decisions that significantly affect you solely on automated processing unless legally permitted or contractual. We may use de-identified or aggregated data for research and analytics.

If you believe we have collected such information without consent, contact us and we will delete it in accordance with applicable law.

6. Security of Your Information

We implement technical, administrative and organisational safeguards (secure infrastructure, encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging) to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where required by law, we will notify you of any material security breach affecting your personal information.

7. International Transfers of Personal Information

Your personal information may be transferred, stored, and processed in one or more countries. Whenever we transfer personal data from the EU, UK, or other regulated jurisdictions, we will use appropriate safeguards (for example, standard contractual clauses) to ensure adequate protection.
